Zapiski dveh maturantk, ki to jesen tavata po Franciji, poskušata govoriti francosko, preizkušata sire in se čudita Francozom.

3. IN 4. TEDEN
Prva stvar: prosiva vas, da nama oprostite najin molk pretekla dva (!) tedna. Najino opravičilo je, da je bilo preprosto preveč dela, da bi nama uspelo napisati spodobno pismo. Se opravičujeva in vam zato zdaj pošiljava kar dvotedenski popis bivanja v Saumurju.
Ker so mimo že štirje tedni (in nama tako ostanejo le še trije), sva se do sedaj že dodobra vklopili v tukajšnje dogajanje in ritem življenja. Moram priznati, da mi je šola postala celo všeč, saj sva se nekoliko bolj spoznali s sošolci, francoskimi in tistimi s celega sveta. Celo narekovanje je postalo razumljivejše (namenoma sem uporabila primernik; da bi nama uspelo pisati po nareku, bi morali tu ostati malo več kot le dva meseca …)!
Spoznali sva tudi, da čeprav je to katoliški licej (oz. gimnazija), nimajo nobenih maš ali molitev. Pravzaprav večina dijakov ni vernih in to šolo obiskujejo zato, ker je dobra. Vseeno pa to ne pomeni, da nimajo pravil, ker so ta veliko strožja kot na ŠKG. Rekla bi, da so nekatera že kar smešna! Na primer, po pouku oz. ko imaš prosto uro/učenje, se ne smeš zadrževati v »parku« pred šolo. Na kosilo se čaka zunaj, pred hodnikom v jedilnico (kar pomeni na mrazu in dežju). Nič čudnega, da sem že prehlajena in da moj želodec ni v najboljšem stanju, saj smo imeli ravno prejšnji teden »varnost v prometu«. Bolje rečeno, ogled štirih (ja, štirih) zelo nazornih filmčkov o nesrečah zaradi alkohola. Ja, vse je zelo resno.
Dovolj šole, že tako sem cele dneve tam (dobesedno).
Ali je imel kdo od vas kdaj željo, da bi živel v času Vikingov? Pil čaj v kavarni iz 19. stoletja? Mogoče obožujete francoske kralje in spletke? Za vas imam popolno rešitev: preživite dan v Puy du Fou! Resnično, to je ena najboljših stvari, ki sem jih doživela v Franciji, kar verjemite. Je neke vrste zabaviščni park, kjer se odvijajo spektakli, predstave in prireditve, poleg tega pa so tam tudi tematske vasi z obrtniki, trgovinicami in zelo dobrim sladoledom. Puy du Fou je leta 1978 ustanovil Phillippe de Villers, ki je pripravil predstavo na temo srednjega veka, leta 1989 pa se je to razširilo v park. Tako si danes lahko ogledate predstavo o Richelieuju in mušketirjih, o Vitezih okrogle mize, spektakel z več kot dvestotimi pticami, gladiatorske igre itd. Oprostite za napako, za ogled Puy du Fouja ne boste potrebovali le enega, pač pa verjetno dva dneva, ker je preprosto preveč vsega! Saj vem, da sem polnoletna in »odrasla«, ampak dajte no, včasih pa lahko malo »nahranim« otroka v sebi!
Da ne bi ostali povsem nevedni o drugih neštetih in nejasno ločenih regijah Francije, sva obe že potovali do Atlantika. Obala je sicer povsem drugačna od tiste, ki jo poznamo mi, a moram reči, da me je ta zares očaral! Dobesedno kot iz filma. Valovi so gromozanski, veter močno piha, hiške so zares ljubke in hrana je dobra. Ja, poskusila sem ostrige na pravi, francoski način. Kar pomeni surove. Klara jih ne mara, ker pravi, da imajo okus po morju (kar je delno res), jaz pa jih obožujem! Francozi so, kot ste že verjetno ugotovili, nagnjeni k nenavadni hrani. Samo pomislite na polže, žabje krake in ostrige. Vam pa zagotavljam, da je to v bistvu čisto okusno. Do sedaj mi niso bile všeč le neke klobase, katerih vsebina je bila izredno nenavadna. Ampak te odtehtajo siri.
Poleg obale pa sem doživela tudi Normandijo, ki je bolj podobna Sloveniji (vsaj del, ki sem ga videla jaz). Drevesa so bolj poznana in vreme tudi (bilo je mrzlo). Tukaj so hiše, v nasprotju z okolico Loare, narejene iz sivega kamna, ampak ravno tako lepe. Zares me preseneča to, da še zdaj gradijo hiše v slogu svoje pokrajine. Pohvalno! Celotna regija zato zgleda veliko bolj enotno in se zlahka loči od sosednje.

Resnično je sir še bolj pogosta sestavina, kot sem si predstavljala. Ker prebivam pri zelo gurmanski družini, jemo veliko prave francoske hrane; in skoraj vse vsebuje sir. Neko večerjo mi je Valérie (moja gostiteljica), sicer v šali, rekla: C’est bon. 🙂 C’est du fromage. (Prevod: Dobro je, ker je iz sira!) In iskreno: Res je! (Od vsega se bom še zredila!) Najljubša mi je jed iz alpske pokrajine Savoje, ki se imenuje la raclette − šunka/tudi suha salama s kuhanim krompirjem in sirom. Kot velika ljubiteljica testenin pa prav tako obožujem le crozet − testenine v obliki ploščatih kvadratkov s sladko smetano, slanino, seveda ne gre brez sira. Jed, ki ti nariše nasmeh na obraz, je tudi la galette bretonne: šunka, sir in na oko pečeno jajce, skupaj zavito na testu (podobno tistemu za palačinke, le da je brez jajc). Enostavno uživam v vsakem grižljaju.
Prejšnji teden sem obiskala EuroModel’s: park razstav. Poleg razstav vseh vrst letal, ladij (seveda je bilo največ francoskih) in avtomobilčkov so tu še neskončne železnice vlakcev, ki brzijo skozi vasice in različne pokrajine. Navdušenci avtov na daljince so tekmovali na postavljeni progi, daljinsko vodena miniaturna letala pa so letala po zraku in izvajala akrobacije. Sprehodila sem se tudi med miniaturnimi zabaviščnimi parki, cirkusi in kolesi, in vsi so bili manjši od 30-ih centimetrov. Impresionantno. Kako je vsak najmanjši detajl natančno dodelan in vse skupaj daje vtis pomanjšane resničnosti.
Ker veva, da je trenutno pri vas dokaj mrzlo, vas tolaživa, da se je ta teden tudi tukaj precej ohladilo. Sicer pa je njihovo podnebje nekaj, na kar se zlepa ne morem navaditi. Cel dan je hladno in le počasi se segreva, dokler ni ura pet ali šest popoldne in je najtopleje. Nato se čez noč spet počasi ohlaja vse od petih zjutraj (takrat je najbolj mrzlo), ko je treba že skoraj vstati in iti v šolo. Ocean ima vpliv tudi na naš Saumur! Če dodam še eno zanimivo dejstvo: v vseh štirih tednih je dež padal le eno dopoldne (dovolj dolgo in močno, da je moj dežniček skoraj uničen). Precej sušno.
